Mljet Island has received a national park status on account of its exceptional cultural and historical heritage, but mostly on account of its natural beauties - salt lakes, rich vegetation and unique indented coasts, cliffs, numerous tiny islands, rich vegetation of the surrounding hills rising steeply above the sea, hiding numerous karst fields and ancient towns in stone. You can explore the island in kayaks, walking / hiking and enjoying a swim in the warm waters of the lakes. Kayaks can be rented on the Small Bridge, from where you can start your unforgettable journey.
